This Privacy Policy describes how AI Stock Trading Simulator (“the App”), developed by XStellarHub (Nai Xiao Michael Xie), handles information when you use the App on iOS and other platforms.
Summary
The App does not require an account or login. We do not sell your personal information. Most data stays on your device. The App fetches public stock market data from Yahoo Finance when you refresh quotes. Optional subscriptions are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details.
Information We Collect
The App does not collect:
- Name, email address, or other account credentials
- Precise location
- Contacts, photos, or other sensitive device data
- Advertising or analytics identifiers
Information Stored on Your Device
To provide simulated trading and personalization, the App stores the following locally on your device using on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data is not transmitted to our servers:
- Your custom watchlist and stock symbols
- Simulated portfolio holdings, trade history, and cash balance
- Market signals you have dismissed
- App preferences related to the above
- A local cache of whether a premium subscription is active (for faster launch)
You can remove this data by deleting the App from your device.
Network Requests
When you use features such as Refresh, the App requests public market data from
Yahoo Finance (for example, query1.finance.yahoo.com and
query2.finance.yahoo.com). These requests include the stock symbols you are viewing.
Yahoo’s handling of network data is governed by Yahoo’s own privacy policy.
We do not operate backend servers that receive or store your personal information from the App.
Subscriptions and Payments
The App offers an optional yearly auto-renewing subscription. Eligible users may receive a free trial configured in App Store Connect (currently 3 days). After the free trial, the subscription continues at the regular price unless canceled. Payment is processed by Apple (App Store). We do not receive or store your payment card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Third-Party Services
The App currently does not include:
- Third-party advertising SDKs
- Third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs
- User-to-user messaging or social features
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Choices
- Delete local data: uninstall the App from your device.
- Stop network requests: do not use Refresh, or disable network access for the App in device settings.
- Manage subscription: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
